Pepper is a one year old female basset mix. We believe she is mixed with a dachshund & is under 30 pounds. Pepper comes to us from Kentucky. She was given up by her family, after the children lost interest.
Pepper just arrived to her foster home in Getville, NY on 2/29/20.
Her foster has given us an update, after just a few days:
“Pepper has only been with us for a short time and she is just about perfect! Pepper is a sweet, sweet gal who only wants someone to love her, and share the couch with her! She likes to be wherever we are — we move, she moves too (but not under our feet). She would enjoy being in a home where her people are home a lot, too.
We have a dog, cats and guinea pigs and she could care less about them. Honestly, not even an interest in sniffing and checking them out. Although she has had a few accidents getting to learn the routine at our house, Pepper is basically house trained. Pepper sleeps in a crate at night in the living room and when we aren’t home. She whines at first but quickly stops and sleeps all night.
Pepper is rather quiet and calm in her waking hours too! She walks pretty well on a leash. She has loved the snow in these first days here!”
All basset hound/dogs are up to date on vaccinations, altered, and placed on heart worm preventative prior to being adopted.
