This 13 month old Beagle puppy is called Ole Blue but, before he was rescued by ABC, he was just a number. Blue arrived to us from the midwest on Feb 24th still wearing an auction tag. He weighs less than 20 pounds. He is skittish but has been making slow and steady progress in his foster 🏡. Blue needs an adopter who is also willing to be patient and let him progress at his own pace.
Blue LOVES 💙 LOVES the yard and is happiest running and playing outside. Therefore, a secure fenced yard is absolutely necessary for him to blossom into the boy he has wanted to be!
Blue loves his foster mom’s 4 year old granddaughter! She throws toys 🧸 🎾 🦴 for him in the yard so he follows her everywhere outside. He will be a great kid’s pet. Blue also loves playing with the home’s resident dogs so another playful 🐶 who would also like to snuggle when it’s time for 💤 would be wonderful for him!
His foster mom can touch his chin but that is all, for now. He is getting closer every day and has begun approaching her and really wants to jump onto her lap so it will come in time.
Ole Blue still has a few accidents in the house, mostly at night when he can’t be in the yard. He eats well and sleeps well, is vocal but not to the point where it is a problem. Mostly, he barks when his foster mom comes home to tell her everything that happened while she was gone! 😄

The veterinarian check will include verifying the applicant’s past/present dog(s) is/are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccines (not just Rabies), tested negative for Heartworm & on monthly preventatives.
