Hubert is a 3 year old basset hound who came to ABC after being surrendered by his owner due to foreclosure.
He is very friendly and loves attention from everyone! He is well-behaved, housebroken, crate trained, good recall, not destructive or aggressive. Hubert is a quick learner. He is playful and will bring toys to play fetch.
Hubert can be barky and will react to passersby, especially those walking dogs, but is responding to correction. He may also try to chase squirrels or chipmunks. He does not like to be left alone, and will bark and whine, though he seems to settle down in his crate. He used to live with a beagle, and is currently getting along well with another basset, once they worked out their boundaries.
Hubert is a sweet and affectionate dog who cannot wait to get to his forever home!

The veterinarian check will include verifying the applicant’s past/present dog(s) is/are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccines (not just Rabies), tested negative for Heartworm & on monthly preventatives.
