Roger’s owner dumped him at a shelter in Kentucky. It was obvious his owner neglected him. Roger is anemic due to all the ticks that were found on him. His mouth was smelly from all his rotting teeth. He also has allergies that were never addressed. Roger had of his health needs addressed by ABC Basset Hound Rescue, something his owner neglected to do.
Roger is working on learning basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “down.” Roger walks well on a leash, using a harness. Roger settled in to his foster home’s routine quickly. He enjoys his doggy treats too. He knows when it’s time for chow, go outside, go to his crate, for his foster parent to leave for work, etc. Roger enjoys getting a bath and getting his ears cleaned as well. He further likes to spend time with his foster parents around the house. He likes to just hang around them. In typical basset fashion, Roger enjoys a good nap.
