Pumpkin is a 5 year old that was found in a kill shelter in Kentucky, pregnant, and had a two pound tumor on her that literally dragged on the ground. She was rescued by ABC and her and her pups were brought to NY State where Pumpkin is now looking for her forever home. Pumpkin is believed to be a mix of basset, beagle and a touch of another breed that we are uncertain of. Pumpkin’s tumor was removed from her body and she is now altered as well. No more puppies for her!
Pumpkin would love a home that will give her cuddles and a couch to lay on. She is crate trained, but also fine on her own. She is potty trained and learned to use our doggy door quickly to go in and outside. Many times she is kept in a separate room with her puppies and doesn’t have access to the doggy door and will wait until we let her out and she does great! She will roll over to get belly rubs and really wants attention. She loves squeaky toys and plays often with her puppies. When she is done playing she will get up on the couch out of their reach and watch them continue to play.
