Gertie is a beautiful small female basset that came to ABC February 4, 2011. She came in with a history of untreated seizures. Within two days she began to have grand mal seizures and was placed on medications. She experiences some side effects from the medication such as lethargy and imbalance, but she does not suffer from any personality problems!
Gertie is very well behaved dog. She is affectionate to children and adults; often laying her head on the person’s chest immediately upon meeting them. She loves to sleep on laps. She is as sweet as she looks in the picture. Gertie gets along well with the dogs she lives with. She is expected to live a long, normal life with the help of medications and her forever foster family will take care of her for her remaining time.
