Albert was dumped by an Amish Puppy Miller in Ohio when basset puppies weren’t selling as fast as other breeds. He was dumped along with his pal, Gwen. Albert was covered in fleas when he was dumped off. Unfortunately, Albert is also heartworm positive so he will be undergoing expensive heartworm treatment before he can be neutered.
Albert is one of the sweetest guys we’ve ever fostered. He is timid and shy but is warming up great. He’s going to need some time to heal from the emotional trauma. He loves his foster mom, but is a little timid with men. We are seeing increased confidence every day. He loves to snuggle, is very quiet and has the sweetest, face and eyes. We think Albert is a wonderful old guy. He is going to need a lot of time to get his mojo back. The other dogs at his foster home are helping him. He’s great with dogs and cats and the pig. He’s a snuggler once he gets to trusting you.
