Angel Fly High is a 4 year old previous breeding dog. She had been sent to auction in Missouri before being rescued by ABC.

Angel has been making great strides in foster! She is basically housebroken with only an occasional accident since being in current foster šŸ”.Ā

We have discovered that she will be best with a strong male owner who is familiar with hunting dogs.Ā  If adopters were a male/female couple, the female owner needs to be very patient to help Angel understand women are ok too.

Angel L🩷VES treats and will take them from foster dad, but not foster mom yet.  Foster dad is able to give her chest scratches, pets, belly rubs and even roughhouse.  However, Angel is still skittish around foster mom.

She will need a large variety of toys and chews. Foster home has a dog bed full and she just roots through it all day looking for new toys 🦓 šŸŽ¾ to play with!Ā  Angel has found old soup bones and antlers that also keep her entertained.

Angel prefers to eat in a separate room with no one watching her 🄣. When she gets scared, it does take her a while to settle. She mostly will just pace and whine. Angel sleeps in a crate at night in foster’s bedroom. She definitely needs people around her, preferably male.

Foster home has a resident male basset and a male dachshund, and they have begun to play and be with each other. Angel will chase the nervous 🐈 in the foster home, but is fine with the confident cats.

Angel needs a very secure yard as she is a flight risk as her hunt sense is very strong. We have not walked her outside of the yard yet. When Angel is doing something in the yard that she shouldn’t be, she will actually listen to foster dad and stop. 😊
