Meet Brutus – Your Future Sunshine-Loving, Basset-Hugging Best Friend!
Brutus is a showstopper—handsome, sweet, and built low to the ground with a heart as long as his ears. This charming basset hound mix is all about people—yes, even the little ones (those tiny humans known as kids). He’s incredibly friendly and social, and when it comes to other dogs, Brutus has a soft spot for his fellow long-bodied brethren. He’ll get along with just about any pup, but nothing beats a good basset buddy.
Brutus lives for sunshine and long, leisurely walks. He’s got a nose for adventure and has yet to meet a squirrel he wouldn’t gladly chase halfway to the moon. If you’re looking for a walking companion with character and a bit of comedy, Brutus is your guy.
Now, full transparency: house training is still a work in progress. Brutus likely spent most of his life outside, so he’s learning all the indoor dog manners. With patience, routine, and maybe some well-timed treats, he’s going to get there.
Speaking of treats… this boy is very food motivated. Food should be stored in Fort Knox (or at least on a high shelf) because Brutus believes in helping himself when he can. On the plus side, his love of snacks makes training a breeze.

The veterinarian check will include verifying the applicant’s past/present dog(s) is/are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccines (not just Rabies), tested negative for Heartworm & on monthly preventatives.
