Iris is an 11 month old female basset hound rescued from puppy mill auction. She is as sweet as pie! While she was timid at first, Iris has come into her own and is enjoying being a dog. She loves a good squeaky toy, her training treats, and most of all, her people!
She is great with the three year old in her foster home, as well as the resident dog. She is currently living with cats and shows curiosity but never chases.
Iris is making good progress with potty training and really likes sleeping in her cozy crate at night. She is working on leash walking. She’s pretty curious and would do best in a secure fenced yard.
Iris is currently waiting to be spayed but then will be ready for her forever home. She will make an amazing companion and family dog!

The veterinarian check will include verifying the applicant’s past/present dog(s) is/are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccines (not just Rabies), tested negative for Heartworm & on monthly preventatives.
