Flash is a 4.5 year old male basset who loves to snuggle! He is around 50 pounds and is mostly red/tan with a cute white patch on his chest. He loves getting his butt scratched and is learning how to play with squeaky toys. He gets along with my 1 year old male dachshund. He loves treats as a reward for going potty outside and getting into his crate before bedtime so fully potty training him shouldn’t be very hard. I think he’d do just fine getting all of the attention and love to himself if someone were to want to adopt him as an only child. He does not come to his name being called so I can see him adjusting to a new name very well. He didn’t mind getting a bath or touching his paws. He sleeps in a large crate and has been doing very well after a few minutes of whining but he would definitely prefer sleeping and snuggling in bed.
A veterinarian reference check & home check are required as part of the approval process.
The veterinarian check will include verifying the applicant’s past/present dog(s) is/are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccines (not just Rabies), tested negative for Heartworm & on monthly preventatives.
