Sam:

I am nine years old and boy has my life been turned upside down. I lived with my family since I was eight weeks old. Then one day a lady came to my house and my parents put me in her car with my cage, my bed, and toys. She took me to her home and found that I had many health problems and took me straight to the vet. Many dollars and medications later, my ears, skin and bladder felt much better, but my teeth still needed help.

The weekend before I was going to have my teeth surgery I started howling with pain in my sleep. It was my back again. I had to have my teeth cleaning canceled and taking anti inflammatory medicine. Many more dollars later, my back and neck were well enough to get those teeth done. It doesn't hurt to eat anymore! Right now I feel better than I have in years. But, there's one big problem still. Probably because I was in so much pain for so long, and my back and neck are still very sensitive, I can over react pretty badly if someone tries to do something to help me. I have never bitten my foster mom, because she's really smart and gets out of the way fast. I sure don't want to hurt anyone, but sometimes I just can't help how scared I get. I hope there's someone out there that can handle an old curmudgeon like me.
