Beau:
Beau
had a pretty rough life until now. He came from a puppy mill in Missouri, and we
can see why he was in great demand - he is absolutely beautiful! He's on the
smaller side (40lbs) and although he's around 6 years old, he looks and acts
half his age.
Because he was treated so badly (we assume) by men, he's very skittish around
people (especially men), but has been warming up to his foster Mom quickly. He
takes direction well, walks on a leash and is crate trained. He LOVES other dogs
and must be placed with a home that has one or more dogs for company and most
importantly, reassurance.
He is smart and gentle, doesn't mind cats and is still getting used to people.
He needs a very special home who will work with him to establish trust and then
obedience training. He is in the process of being house broken and responds well
to positive reinforcement. He's learning how to play with toys. He shows great
promise to be trained and shows signs that he wants affection - but he's just
still too scared.
If you have the time, patience and love to bring this beautiful boy around,
please consider adopting him. He will give you a lifetime of love in return.
